Find out about the people behind Bosinverโ€ฆ

Bosinver is a place built by our family for yours. ย Farmer Dave and Nanny Pat first found this little slice of Cornish heaven and created magic for their kids and grandkids, they’re all now involved in recreating that magic for you and your loved ones. Come and meet the team!ย

Farmer Dave

For many young guests Farmer Dave will be one of the lasting memories they take from Bosinver. With a passion for making people smile, telling bad jokes and enjoying the cakes some of his young fans make him during their stay, heโ€™ll be the one looking after the daily animal feeding, egg collecting and weekly pony riding sessions.ย You can even joinย Farmer Daveโ€™s fan club!

Nanny Pat aka โ€˜Action Nanโ€™

A creative genius with an encyclopaedic knowledge of everything there is to do in the local area, Nanny Pat is another central cog in the Bosinver wheel.ย Much of the dรฉcor in your cottage will have had Patโ€™s creative touch on it, and if youโ€™re ever short of an idea for something to do then check out herย Bosinver blog; sheโ€™ll leave you wondering how you can cram it all in!

You can sometimes find Pat in the office but these dayโ€™s sheโ€™s often out and about with her grandchildren or exploring Cornwall so she can make personal recommendations to guests about the best places to visit. As her alter egoย Action Nan, she has completed many charity challenges including walking the entire 300 miles of the Cornish coastline in aid of the RNLI! Pat is also an enthusiastic anti-plastic campaigner setting up theย Final Straw Cornwallย to rid Cornwall of plastic straws and raise awareness of the issue of single-use plastic pollution. The campaign has been hugely successful with over 600 businesses signed up and Patโ€™s beach cleans have grabbed media attention around the world with interviews on the BBC One Show, Jeremy Vine radio show and BBC Threeโ€™s Amazing Humans online series.ย Click here to find out more about Nanny Pat as โ€˜Action Nanโ€™.

Paul

Pat and Dave were delighted when a few years ago their older son Paul joined them in their business, moving back to Cornwall from Brighton with his wife and young children.ย  Just like his parents, Paul has a passion for sustainability and making every moment at Bosinver as fun as possible.ย Youโ€™ll often find him out and about talking to guests or helping Farmer Dave with his latest project.ย Heโ€™s also got plenty of ideas on where to go for the best rockpooling or beach cafรฉ experience and top tips for the best local ales!

Helen

Helen is our Head Housekeeper and we donโ€™t know where we would be without her! She knows Bosinver inside out, having worked here for even longer than Pat and Dave. Helen loves our horses and takes a lead in caring for them, as well as making sure her team of housekeepers do their utmost to keep our 20 cottages looking their best.

The rest of the team

We also have a fabulous team of around 15 housekeepers that keep our cottages in tiptop condition each and every day of the year.

by our family for yours

When Pat first saw Bosinver she said, โ€œwe could build a village hereโ€ and thatโ€™s exactly what we have done. Farmer Dave, Paul and friends have built 20 new buildings here over the last two decades.ย
