Whilst relaxing at Bosinver Farm Cottages, our little corner of Cornwall surrounds you. We firmly believe in helping our guests to sample and enjoy the many facets of Cornwall – especially those more hidden and unusual that our local knowledge will reveal.
The way we have designed our cornish farm cottages reflects the locality – wherever possible we have used granite, slate and reclaimed oak in their construction to relect local architecture and history. The interiors are comfortable and modern but designed so that the little touches from pictures on the walls by local artists, local walks and guide books, crafts from seaside galleries, exposed stonework and wooden beams echo the Cornish feel of the place. The murals in our new play barn were painted recently by local Falmouth artist Sue Weller.
Whilst strolling around our grounds you will appreciate the natural beauty of this hidden valley, farmed in a traditional way over the centuries and brimming with Cornish wild flowers and wildlife – we even have a genuine tin mine stack in the view across the fields.
Supporting our local businesses is important to us and we direct customers to order groceries from the village shop and use our two local pubs in walking distance of Bosinver. The best of local produce is available from Lobbs Farm shop at Heligan gardens and our chef Ken from Smorgers will deliver freshly prepared locally sourced food to your cottage door.
Whilst here Active 8 can organise active days out – from informative walks with blue badge guides to learning to throw a pot or surfing or sea kayaking. Also www.destination-cornwall.co.uk is a mine of information for the weather and diary events for theatre and local festivals and events.
On the website home page is a symbol with Discover Cornwall on it. If you click here you will find links to other informative sites to discover the many delights Cornwall has to offer if you look a little further than the normal tourist trails and David and I are only to happy to help you plan days out so as not too miss those special hidden places.
ps Our resident barn owl is feeding chicks.and the baby swallows have just flown from their nest in the barn. David had to cut a hole in the door so they could fly in and out when we weren’t here!
