Summer fun in Cornwall with the National Trust

A hedge maze in Cornwall owned by the National Trust

Weโ€™re lucky enough to have several outstanding National Trust properties close by that are ideal for families.

Over the summer months, theyโ€™re putting on a range of activity sessions – including Wild Child nature and adventure sessions – everything from bat hunts to bug walks and den building sessions, family fun days and theatre performances of classics tales like Peter Pan and Wind in the Willows.

And whatโ€™s more, during August, kids go free. All you need to do is download a voucher from their website and fill it in to get free entry (2 children for free with each paying adult, not including theatre performances).

Download a summer activity wall planner to keep track of whatโ€™s on when over the next few weeks. Go on a treasure hunt at Godolphin, become a pirate for a day at St Michaelโ€™s Mount or try on the armour at Trerice. With huge, open gardens and woodland to explore, thereโ€™s plenty of space to run, play โ€“ and relax. Why not pack a picnic and make a day of it?

PS: There are National Trust properties all over the country, so if youโ€™re not down in Cornwall this summer or youโ€™re looking for something else to entertain the kids over the holidays, take a look to see whatโ€™s happening in your area.
