Introducing your cottage

Even in Cornwall there aren’t too many places where you can sit on your patio and watch buzzards, squirrels, deer and more birds than you can name. But from Hillside, you can.

Lift the latch on the quirky wooden gate into the garden and come on in. The cottage is all on one level with just a few steps from the nearby parking in the lane.

Hillside was rebuilt by Dave, Paul and their team in Spring 2024 to make the most of the beautiful views, extending the living area and incorporating a large picture window.

The living space

Enter via the porch – ideal for kicking off boots or drying off muddy paws.

The spacious open plan living room is a welcoming haven. As in all our cottages, the interiors are stylish and of the highest standard – with designer pendant lights from local artisan Tom Raffield and quality sofas from Swoon Editions. 

The picture window floods the cottage with light and you will love the beautiful expansive views across our meadows, leading down towards the lake.

Hillside now has cosy underfloor heating and is powered by Air Source renewable energy – a further commitment by us to our green ethos and keeping our business sustainable for the future.

The kitchen and diner

The extended kitchen is as well equipped as home, with funky yellow cupboards, electric oven with gas hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher and separate dining table. 

The bedrooms

Hillside’s master bedroom has a king sized rattan bed and large en-suite shower room. The twin room has two 3 ft single beds (one of which is a hideaway bed which can slide underneath the other to make room for a cot alongside) and an en-suite bathroom with wc, basin and bath with shower over. You’ll be wowed by the stunning jungle floor tiles – Nanny Pat’s favourites!
