Woodland and Lake

Woodland and Lake

If you go down to the woods today…

If you fancy an adventure or just to spend a while in nature, you’ll enjoy our woodland and lake area – venture through the gate near the games room and down through the fields past the zip wire and big green slide to find one of the most magical spots at Bosinver. The lake is full of life – frogs and toads, fish, moorhens, ducks and the occasional heron (on the lookout for a free meal!) – and in Spring and Summer the lake is fringed with wildflowers such as ragged robin and the impressive yellow flag iris.

Try your hand at fishing

Have a go at fishing in our lake – we have rods you can borrow in reception, or just sit a while and take in the view as dragonflies and damselflies dart amongst the reeds. There’s even an idyllic picnic spot for those days when it’s just too nice to be eating indoors. Bliss!

From the lake you can explore our woodland along footpaths and boardwalks which for little ones add to the excitement of exploring this area – try out our nature trails, looking for the hidden animals – and even the Gruffalo!

Our blogs help you make the most of your holiday. Here are some of our latest…
