If you go down in the woods tonight…

Wander down to the woods as the light begins to fade and you might discover something unexpected… Our Wild Kids Club has become even wilder!

As our weekly sessions in the woods have been such a hit, Nooney’s started running Wild Kids Dusk Adventure sessions – think Ray Mears style exploration! These two hour sessions are ideal for slightly older kids (but younger children welcome too), who can come along with a parent or fly solo if they prefer.

Join us on a journey of adventure and discovery, as we follow the trail through the fields down to the woods. On the way, we’ll take a closer look at some of the plants that grow there, how to identify them and what you can use them for. At the moment, the brambles are full of juicy, delicious blackberries…

In the woods, we’ll light a campfire, toast marshmallows and sip hot chocolate while Nooney tells us all about the creatures we might find in the woods and fields. We’ll set off with our pooters and try and capture some mini beasts to take a closer look and maybe catch a grasshopper or a frog.

We’ll also seek out signs of rabbits, find out where badgers live and keep our eyes peeled for moths and bats. If we’re really lucky, we might even spot an owl out hunting!

Take a look on our Farmer Dave Facebook page to see more photographs of last week’s session. If you haven’t been to one of our Wild Kids sessions before, take a look at this video for a sneak preview.

And if this sounds like your sort of thing your kids would love, check the noticeboards or ask in the office next time you’re down at Bosinver to find out when we’re running the Wild Kids Dusk Adventure. We hope you can join us!
