Polclay Farm Cottage

It's so rare to find a place to stay that caters both for the little ones and adults too, but you do so superbly!

Built in 1830 - something. Slate floor with Chinese rug. Beamed ceiling. Granite fire with log burner and night store heaters. You'll have to bring your own copy of Jane Austen though! Shut the door behind you and forget the twenty-first century.

Inside, Polclay has an open plan living/kitchen/dining room with low beams and one single bedroom on the ground floor. Up the winding staircase are two more bedrooms, one twin and and one double with ensuite shower room with basin and wc. A separate bathroom with shower, basin and wc snuggles under the slope of the roof. You can walk straight out of the double bedroom onto the patio - have your summer breakfasts in your dressing gown!

Polclay is close to the play area so ideal for families with young children and toddlers in the summer and romantic breaks for couples in the winter. It is not suitable for people who cannot manage stairs.
