Disabled Friendly Holidays in Cornwall

Bosinver understands that every customer has different needs and we aim to make our cottage facilities available and accessible to all our guests equally, wherever possible. In some instances where this is not possible, we will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative.

We have two cottages at Bosinver suitable for wheelchair users - Buddleia and Olearia. Both are tastefully furnished with wide access doors and bathroom facilities for people in a wheelchair. Access to both cottages is level and there is parking alongside.

Many of the other cottages are also suitable for people with limited mobility as they are single storey with ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms, some with large walk in showers - all with grab rails and non- slip mats for extra comfort. Shower stools can be provided on request. Most have parking alongside and easy access.

A local mobility centre has specialised equipment for hire (eg motorised scooters and wheelchairs). We can help you organise this or you can telephone them for details - J&P Supplies 01726 74156.

Bosinver is also a wonderful place to bring adults and children with special needs. It is a friendly, safe and relaxed environment and everyone is welcome to join in and interact with the animals at feeding time.

Our new play barn has a soft play area and the whole family can chill out there. We have bed guards and booster seats and take care to make everything as safe as possible, inside the cottages and around the farm.

Guests with limited sight

Bosinver also offers a peaceful and safe haven for guests with visual impairments and guide dogs are made especially welcome to roam around our 30 acres. Here's a recent comment from one of our guests.

"As I have very limited sight I arrived with some apprehension wondering if I could keep myself safe in unfamiliar surroundings. I need not have worried as life here takes a very leisurely pace and staff offer every assistance possible. My guide dog Abbie has been in dog paradise - the woodland walk and lake area right on our doorstep are heaven for her and also a real haven for wildlife. The beaches at Caerhayes and Gorran Haven are very dog friendly too and a great time was had by all of us there. Bosinver offers peace and tranquillity in a lovely setting and the cottage was home from home - clean, warm and comfortable at this time of year. Two happy people and a very happy dog are leaving today."
