Happy New Year from Bosinver

We had a very busy Christmas and New Year and it was a great pleasure to welcome new and old customers to Bosinver to spend a special Cornish Christmas with us. Most of the local towns had a special show of lights, especially Mousehole, which we visited on dark and windy night to see its whales, mermaids and sea serpents, quite spectacular against the dark stromy sky. Boxing Day saw our family hiking the coast path from Trevone Bay to Padstow, watching the Atlantic swell roll in to crash against the roaky coastline and offset our Christmas indulgences. Padstow was in party mode, celebrating Darkie Day - locals black their faces and party in the streets with the help of the brass band and everyone seemed to be having fun.

Secret the pony had his own special Christmas present this year. A recorded delivery parcel arrived in the office addressed to him and Pippa Lockhart (aged 3 1/2) had insisted that her favourite pony had his own special present. It was a delicious rosy red apple and you can see him enjoying it in the photo!

It's already half way through January and Bosinver Farm Cottages is receiving its annual facelift. Our faithful band of cleaners are already stripping the cottages to make sure they are tip top for the season. I have been on my annual forays for furniture and bedding and have had great fun trying out new mattresses.

Dave is building again. This time he is adding new porches to Apple and Pear so they have a coat and boot kicking off area. He had to dig the foundations really deep for Apple and we nearly lost George down the trench!

Bookings are flowing in and February half term school hoidays will soon be on us. We have a few spaces if you fancy blowing away the cobwebs and coming down to lovely Cornwall for some beachcombing for a short break.
