October half term fun at Bosinver Farm Cottages

Bosinver Farm Cottages were fully booked last week and many of our guests had been before. The weather was really warm so we kept the pool open and turned up the heating and it was very popular! Regulars had brought all their costumes for the Pumpkin party and Thursday saw many of them carving out pumpkin lanterns and putting the finishing touch to their costumes. We found a wonderful spider in Sainsburys and she decorated the beams of the Games Room in a very spooky style! George our gardener was the judge to ensure impartiality and we all agreeed the standards were higher than ever and he was not swayed by the Bretts' pumpkin carving assuring love for Pat , Dave and Helen!

There was an amazing sunrise on Monday 22nd October - so spectacular that Radio Cornwall was encouraging people to go out and look at it - just like a blazing bonfire. This October has been dry and lovely most of the month - Mother Nature seting the balance for our wet May June and July! It is a great time to come and visit when the glorious autumn colours enrich every vista and everywhere is not so crowded.

'A bit of a change for us to come at this time of year when the weather is cooler but we have had just as much fun - with more clothes on! The children have enjoyed spooky walks in the dark around the lake and moonlight death sliding on the zip wire. A dark picnic at the lake of hot dogs and toasted marshmallows went down well and the added bonus was - no midges!'

'Lovely lazy days in the crisp autumn sunshine at Heligan, St Mawes and Falmouth. A cycle along the Camel Trail was great fun for all of us - there is so much to do here that we are already planning our next visit.'
