Guests left us today having spent two weeks on holiday with unbroken sunshine and temperatures in the twenties. They were totally relaxed, looked tanned and happy, booked to come next year, saying their visit to Cornwall was 'just perfect' !
We can't always rely on Mother Nature to come up trumps but when she does it is difficult to better a holiday in beautiful Cornwall, especially in the spring or autumn when the crowds have gone and you can wander along the coast path and have the beaches more or less to yourself.
At this time of year we have more couples, who prefer to holiday when it is quieter, who love to walk on the cliffs, visit Cornwall's beautiful gardens and sample some of the great pubs and restaurants, serving fresh local food, full of taste and flavour. Look out in Spring and Autumn for some of the best festivals - they are fun to sample, such as the Falmouth Oyster festival in October the Sea Shanty festival in June, Padstow 'Obby Oss in May and Helston Flora Day in May - very traditional and great fun! You can find out more information on forthcoming events by visiting www.destination-cornwall or www.cornwalltouristboard.co.uk
We still have some availability for Late September and October autumn breaks and half term breaks. Our Cornwall short breaks begin In October and can be found by going to 'prices' on the home page and clicking 'short break prices' from there. As a special offer for late availability you can have 4 nights for the price of 3 in October by typing 342 in the code box when booking.
We have had our inspection for the South West tourism awards this week and also have been notified that we are in a short list of 4 for our website too! Judging is next week so we should know the result by the end of September.
Will keep you posted.
Pat
PS: For those of you who read this regularly and know us well, Dave and I have become proud grandparents to Mark's son Wilf, born on 6th September.
