As soon as the clocks go forward in March I feel as if winter is over and we can look forward to longer days and lighter evenings. Cornwall has had some lovely spring weather this week with bright blue skies and warm sunshine - in fact T shirts have replaced woolly jumpers and coats and we are all optimistic that it will hold over the Easter weekend.
Bosinver is fully booked for the next two weeks and we have been extremely busy upgrading and revamping the cottages. Many of them have had new curtains and blinds this year and new bedding too. The play barn is almost complete so it will add a new dimension to family holidays with toddlers with its soft play equipment and trikes and scooters. Dave is busy finishing the paths around it so I am still holding on before I take photos for you all to share - I want it looking its best!
Mother Nature is also waking up and the cherry tree in the farmhouse garden is bursting into flower as are the camelias and rhodedendrons. The daffodils are still out but fading fast now and the hedgerows are full of clumps of bright yellow primroses. We spotted 10 baby rabbits in the field yesterday playing tag around the molehills and we have a hen sitting on eggs and Canada geese on the lake.
We have plenty of space at the end of the month for those of you not tied to school holidays so why not take a spring break here at Bosinver? From the 13th to 30th April, we are offering 4 nights for the price of 3 - type in the promotion code 443 on the booking form to qualify.
I hope you all have a Happy Easter and will bring you photos of the play barn in the next newsletter.
