Easter Egg Hunt on your Easter holiday break

Our cottages are filling up fast for the Easter Holidays but we have plenty of space for our short break special offers 3 nights for the price of 2 until the end of March. We still have a few vacancies for the week of 10th April and I thought I would give you all some ideas of what is on offer to do in the forthcoming Easter break.

All of the Gardens and Attractions will be open at Easter. Spring gardens in Cornwall are beautiful and most of them now cater for the children with trails and activity books to entertain them whilst you are admiring the plants and the historic houses. There are Easter Egg trails at Cotehele, Trerice and Boscastle Harbour run by the National Trust and the Forestry Commission at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin has an Easter egg trail www.forestry.gov.uk and the Eden Project has egg hunting, cup cake decorating, den building and their ice rink is still open www.edenproject.com

English Heritage has fun days over the Bank holiday weekend www.english-heritage.org.uk/pendennis  and the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth has mask making and Easter egg hunts over the weekend too www.nmmc.co.uk  Bodmin and Wenford Railway are giving away eggs for the children and an egg hunt www.bodminandwenfordrailway.co.uk Also my all time favourites - kneehigh theatre are performing Hansel and Gretel in Heligan gardens for 2 weeks over Easter - if you are coming to stay ,get tickets NOW, they are amazing www.kneehigh.co.uk

The weather here in Cornwall has been glorious, sunny and dry but with a bitterly cold easterly wind. The season is very late this year and we still have snowdrops out down the lane and a few brave daffodils have poked their heads out of the ground but I think the main display will be here for Easter, which will be great for everyone to enjoy. Dave and Paul have been busily slating Trerose's new roof and we have been catching up on the decorating, refurbishing and spring cleaning. Several cottages have had new kitchens and bathrooms and we have totally made over the sauna and changing rooms for the pool.

Chalky and Spike have turned into roaming goats and have been testing the security fences. We keep finding them in odd places looking guilty - even alongside the swimming pool yesterday, looking sheepish if that is possiblle for a goat!!  Unfortunately our beautiful Leghorn cockerel Foggy was eaten by a fox but we now have two new pet Maran cockerels to take their place.

I hope I have given you some inspiration for a Spring or Easter break at Bosinver Farm Cottages and we look forward to seeing you here soon.

All the best.

Pat
