Valentines and February half term breaks at Bosinver Farm Cottages
Hello everyone and a Happy New Year to you all from us at Bosinver Farm Cottages. We all had a great Christmas and New Year at Bosinver this year as the weather was splendid. We had crisp cold days with frosty nights but it was sunny and most of all dry. So all of us could get out and about, walking, cycling and sightseeing at will. Dave and I leapt on bikes on Boxing Day and cycled along the Camel trail to Padstow. It was a lovely day and they were celebrating Mummers Day where the locals black their faces and use it as an excuse for carousing around the town, accompanied by music. It's always busy and mulled wine in the harbour pubs was very welcome.
Secret celebrated Christmas again thanks to Philippa Lockheart. She sent him his own card and a special treat of carrots she and her Mum had grown from seed. He much appreciated them Philippa and says Neigh and will give you an extra long pony ride when you come for your next holiday
The usual January chores are well under way. The Farm Cottages are being scrubbed and painted and new additions are ready for our Bosinver regulars to spot! Our big project this year is the renovation of Well Close cottage and work would not be complete without yet another photo of Dave down a big trench digging or pouring concrete! Paul, our builder is on the digger excavating the trench for the lounge extension which will have lovely views across the fields down to the lake.

Valentine's Day and the school February half term holiday break coincide this year and we still have a few vacancies for family and romantic breaks. It is always nice to have a break in February to banish those winter blues and the kids have a great time here at Bosinver Farm Cottages whatever time of the year. More and more local pubs and restaurants are staying open as Cornwall develops a more year round trade and there is nothing finer than to walk along a wind blown beach or clifftop looking out at the crashing waves and then dive into a warm welcoming pub with crackling log fire and sample their delicious hearty food!
Our welcome mat is always down and we look forward to seeing you here at Bosinver soon.
Pat
