We're still busy at Bosinver Farm Cottages
As soon as the children went back to school the gloomy summer weather gave way to wall to wall sunshine and beautiful blue skies. It was certainly not a record breaking September for great weather but it did us all good to feel the sun on our faces again. We have been busy with our usual Autumn break customers, toddlers and parents, retired couples, garden lovers and walkers, all taking advantage of lower prices and being able to come without the crowds.

Helen and I made our annual trip to Trewithen Gardens plant sale and snapped up some bargain plants to scatter
around the Bosinver grounds. It was quite a problem as Dave was away climbing volcanoes in Sicily and we had to use my car, which resembled a greenhouse with us travelling surrounded by plants!
Dave has taken a much needed rest and I have undertaken another cycling challenge with my friend Janie. This time we put our bikes on the train and cycled the 'Coast to Coast route from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth. It is approximately 150 miles and we did it in 3 days, dipping our wheels in the Irish sea at the start and the North Sea at the finish after cycling through the Lake District, The Eden Valley and over the Pennines. It was a tough ride and very hilly but rewarding with spectacular scenery and great weather. Another bonus was that we raised £500 for the Shelterbox charity in Helston, sending a much needed immediate relief package to disaster hit areas around the world.
Finally, our son Mark and his family came to stay last weekend and we gave our grandson Wilfred his first pony ride, which was a special moment for Dave and I as I am sure you will all appreciate!!!
Hopefully you are also enjoying this beautiful autumn sunshine.
All the best.
Pat
